Drill

Hammer-drill the pilot hole to the spec'd diameter. Drill ¼" deeper than the embedment depth to clear dust.

Clean

Blow or brush the hole clear. Clean holes equal full pull-out values, every time.

Drive with an impact wrench or socket — the Hi-Lo threads cut their own grip. Do not over-torque.

Tapcon+ screw anchors offer several advantages over traditional wedge and sleeve anchors. Where wedge and sleeve anchors require multiple components — washers, nuts, and a precise torque sequence — Tapcon+ is a single-piece anchor that installs in three steps: drill, clean, and drive. This makes installation 2–3× faster and significantly reduces crew fatigue on high-volume jobs.

Unlike wedge and sleeve anchors, Tapcon+ creates no expansion stress on the concrete, which allows for closer edge distances and tighter anchor spacing — giving engineers and contractors more design flexibility. They are also fully removable, making them ideal for retrofit projects or installations that may need adjustment, whereas wedge anchors are permanent once set.
