For over 100 years now, ITW RED HEAD has led innovation in the commercial construction industry since its inception in 1910.  Below are landmark moments and innovations that changed the concrete anchoring and construction industry.

• 1910

  Invented the very first self drilling anchor -- the RED HEAD^® brand was born.

• 1950

  Revolutionized the industry with Trubolt; the first one piece wedge anchor.

• 1963

  Introduced the first, bottom bearing stud anchor.

• 1975

  Introduced Tapson® brand, the first removable screw anchor designed for concrete applications.

• 1986

  Introduced Epcon C6, the first true epoxy product to be used in all base materials.

• 1988

  ITW acquires RED HEAD^®.

• 1990

  Introduced Epcon G5, high strength adhesive.

• 1997

  Introduced Epcon A7, and all-weather, all-temperature acrylic adhesive.

• 2000

  Large Diameter Tapcon (LDT) introduced , a removable screw anchor for heavy duty applications.

• 2008

  Introduced the Trubolt+ wedge anchor designed to endure the harshest, seismic conditions.

• 2010

  Overhead Trubolt+ introduction, a wedge anchor design wiht a hex coupling nut included for overhead use.
